The Reverse Mortgage Process
- Application
- The process begins by filling out an application. You can do it one of three ways:
- Once the application is complete, we will send or meet with you to sign the the appropriate documents.
- We will also collect a copy of a Driver's License or Government ID (must include your date of birth, a picture, and social security number).
- Counseling
- You will receive a list of Free, 3rd Party, Inependent Counselors to choose from.
- It is your job to schedule a convenient time to meet with the counselor.
- It is the counselor's job to make sure you have all the information you need to make an informed decision about your Reverse Mortgage.
- Appraisal
- Once we receive the application, identification, and counseling certificate from you, we will contact a certified appraiser to inspect your home.
- The appraiser will then organize a convenient time with you to asses your home.
- The appraiser will then send us the necessary documentation regarding your home's condition and value.
- Closing
- We will work with you and the settlement agent to schedule a date and time for your closing
- Sign all the required documents at the closing.
- Receive your cash after a mandatory three-day rescission period.
